Born in Lebanon, Crowley moved to the United States and entered the acting profession in the late 1970s, with his first screen appearance in the 1979 picture Up River. The following year he added the features Out of the Blue and Mr. Patman to his résumé and made his television debut in the Canadian series Huckleberry Finn and His Friends.
