Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she pursued a BA in Computer Science and Film at Duke University-earning the Duke Undergraduate Filmmaker Award-before completing an MFA in Directing at Columbia University in 2010. Her Columbia thesis, Cigarette Candy, captured the Short Film Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at SXSW that year, and a year later she co-directed the unsettling short The Strange Ones…
