Originating from Canton, South Dakota, he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of South Dakota before beginning his broadcast career at Milwaukee’s WISN-TV, later transitioning to commercial production and eventually relocating to Los Angeles where he crafted main titles and opening sequences for television in the early 1990s.
