Los Angeles 2013 available on Paramount+, the sequel John Carpenter prefers
The 1996 film, considered better than its predecessor, is finally streaming.
Fifteen years after the cult New York 1997, John Carpenter made Los Angeles 2013, which he calls "ten times better" than the first installment. The feature is now available on Paramount+, while the original remains on Canal+. Despite this enthusiasm, the film received a mixed reception, with audience average rating at 2.9/5. According to AlloCiné, the first film scored 3.7/5. Carpenter believes the poor reception stems from a mistaken perception, with some seeing it as a remake. He even compared this failure to that of The Thing (1982).
