Keanu Reeves returns as voice actor for an animated John Wick film
The animated prequel, titled The Impossible Task, recounts the night the assassin eliminates all his rivals.
Keanu Reeves lends his voice to John Wick again in an animated film slated for the saga's universe. In 2025, Lionsgate announced that the fifth installment of the franchise would be followed by a feature-length animated movie, directed by Shannon Tindle (Ultraman Rising) and written by Ryan and Kaz Firpo. The script, nicknamed The Impossible Task, depicts how the hero killed all his rivals in one night to break free from the High Table and earn the right to be with Helen. Reeves not only portrays the character, he also serves as a producer (via Variety). The release date remains unknown, while Lionsgate continues developing the universe, including the spin-offs Ballerina and the Caine project as well as the series The Continental.
