Dune 3 unveils an unexpected villain before its December 2026 release

The grand finale of the saga is set for December 13 2026, the day Dune 3 will face Avengers: Doomsday in theaters, a double event that some already compare to the Barbenheimer phenomenon. Denis Villeneuve returns to directing, supported by Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa and Rebecca Ferguson. Robert Pattinson joins the cast alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, who had a cameo in the second film. According to actress Anya Taylor-Joy, the true antagonist of the third installment is not the one the audience imagines. Among the new characters, Alia, Paul’s sister, appears as a central figure, endowed with absolute knowledge.
