In July 2026, writer Mike Flanagan, known for The Haunting and The Exorcist: Martyrs, was hired, bringing his horror-genre experience. The universe, born from a tabletop miniatures game in 1987, has already expanded into novels, video games and comics, but no series had yet been produced. Cavill, a passionate fan and franchise ambassador, confirmed his involvement in an interview with Deadline. According to Écran Large, production is on track and expectations are high.
