Johnny Depp says he's ready to reprise Jack Sparrow
The actor says he would work with Jerry Bruckheimer as soon as tomorrow.
Johnny Depp has confirmed that he is ready to reprise the role of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. The actor, who is promoting the film Scrooge slated for release on November 11, told Entertainment Tonight that his wish was to “allow the saga to end on a better note”. He added that he would work with producer Jerry Bruckheimer “as early as tomorrow, on anything”, emphasizing their friendship. Last year, the producer had indicated that Depp would return if the script was up to par, which now seems to be the case, according to AlloCiné. The series, launched in 2003, has generated $4.5 billion over five films, the latest, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, having been released nearly ten years ago.
