James Gunn wants to bring back Idris Elba and Viola Davis to the DCU

James Gunn announced that he wants to bring Idris Elba and Viola Davis back into the new DCU. He used the podcast The Suicide Squad : Is It Canon? to say he would like to see Bloodsport and Amanda Waller reprise their roles. He also reiterated his desire to bring Margot Robbie back as Harley Quinn. According to Écran Large, these statements show that the line between the old DCEU and the new DCU could be more porous than expected, despite the stated goal of starting fresh on healthy foundations.
