Ben Wang in talks to play Iceman in the X-Men reboot
The young actor, already seen in Karate Kid: Legends, could succeed Shawn Ashmore.
Ben Wang is reportedly in negotiations with Marvel to take over the role of Iceman in Jake Schreier's X-Men reboot. According to Deadline, the actor, who appears in Karate Kid: Legends and will be featured in Hunger Games: Lever de soleil sur la moisson, would succeed Shawn Ashmore, who played the mutant in the previous films. Other candidates such as Gabriel LaBelle, Jackson Kelly and Rhenzy Feliz are also said to have auditioned. The film, written by Lee Sung-Jin and Joanna Calo, is scheduled for May 3 2028. If the talks succeed, Ben Wang will join a cast that includes Sadie Sink, Inde Navarrette, Kit Connor, Christopher Abbott, Adam Driver, Samara Weaving, Maya Boyd and Asa Germann.
