TF1 Series Films launches Dr Death with Joshua Jackson
A medical series based on the true story of surgeon Christopher Duntsch airs tonight at 9:10 p.m.
TF1 Series Films airs Dr Death with Joshua Jackson on Monday evening. According to AlloCiné, the series, adapted from a chilling true-crime case, recounts the real story of American neurosurgeon Christopher Duntsch, nicknamed "Doctor Death". Born in Tennessee, he gave up football for medicine, earned his doctorate and specialized in spinal-cord surgery. Between 2011 and 2013 he endangered the lives of about thirty patients, injuring 31 of them and causing two deaths. His drug problems were reported, but he kept practicing, first at Baylor Plano and then at Dallas Medical Center. It was not until 2013 that his license was revoked.
