Season 3 of Avatar live-action scheduled for 2027
Production wrapped, the final installment arrives with a first look at Fire Lord Ozai.
Netflix has confirmed the release of the third and final season of its live-action adaptation Avatar: The Last Airbender in 2027, after filming has wrapped. A first visual of Fire Lord Ozai has already been revealed. The project is part of a wave of new content around the Avatar universe, including the film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender and the animated series Avatar: Seven Havens on Paramount+, as well as the upcoming Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos. The series has received mixed reviews, judged darker than the original and having abandoned several animated plotlines, but it remains the best live-action adaptation to date, according to Ashley Hurst.
