Monarch: Season 3 Turns Into a Reboot

The third season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will be almost a reboot, with a new showrunner and new writers. The series, aired on Apple TV+ since 2023, features Godzilla, Kurt Russell, his son Wyatt Russell and Anna Sawai. Created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, it continues the events of the film Godzilla (2014) over two seasons that failed to convince, even specialist Mathieu Jaborska despises them. According to Deadline, Apple TV+ and Legendary Television are discussing a renewal and a new direction, planning to bring in other Monsterverse Titans such as King Kong, already present in season 2, while the current creative team is being removed.
