The 30th anniversary of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival kicks off on November 6 with a lineup of extraordinary films. Among the premieres, Hungarian director Attila Hartung presents Sinless, described as a tense blend of The Godfather and Thanksgiving, following his first feature FOMO (2019). The program also includes a Christmas mystery, Fruitcakes: Dawn of Drag, a Hungarian thriller, titles with animal connotations, a Lithuanian family drama, the Chinese Book of Changes and a retro-science-fiction work. The festival, which showcases productions from the Baltic states, Europe, Asia and beyond, aims to generate buzz by offering cinematic experiences that go beyond the mainstream audience.
