Apple TV launches thriller series Nocturne starring Liev Schreiber

The police series Nocturne is available today on Apple TV. It offers a dark plunge into the mind of a formidable serial killer, with a breathless investigation and complex characters. Liev Schreiber, known for Ray Donovan, plays the lead investigator, although Tom Hardy was originally considered. Beside him, Stephen Graham, co-creator of Adolescence, portrays the killer, his massive physique feeding the tension.

Zazie Beetz, star of Atlanta, appears as an inspector, adding a dramatic dimension. The series adapts the novels Marchand de sable and Lazare from the Swedish saga by Lars Kepler, the pen name of Alexandra and Alexander Ahndoril. The showrunner is Rowan Joffé, director Tim Van Patten helms the first two episodes. According to AlloCiné, the production brings together prestigious talent both in front of and behind the camera.
