Three new faces for Harry Potter's parents
Jasper Talbot, Hannah Chinn and Harry Gilby join the series ahead of its HBO Max release.
HBO has confirmed three new recruits for its adaptation of Harry Potter. According to AlloCiné, Jasper Talbot and Hannah Chinn will portray James and Lily Potter, while Harry Gilby will play Charlie Weasley, Ron's older brother never seen on screen. They replace Adrian Rawlins and Geraldine Somerville, who were only visible in flashbacks in the films, and will appear from the first season, adapted from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The series, already featuring Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, Alastair Stout, John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Paapa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Warwick Davis and Johnny Flynn, plans to expand the storylines over several seasons. Essiedu's casting has sparked racist reactions, and J.K. Rowling's presence as executive producer continues to divide.
