Moulin, the new historical drama by Laszlo Nemes

The film Moulin, directed by Laszlo Nemes, releases this Wednesday after being selected for competition at Cannes. The story focuses on June 1943, when Resistance leader Jean Moulin is arrested and interrogated by Klaus Barbie, head of the Lyon Gestapo. Gilles Lellouche, two years after L’amour ouf and his roles in Le crime du 3ème étage and La Vénus électrique, takes on the role of the resistance fighter. He describes the project as "a hard, demanding, very necessary, lucid and uncompromising film". According to AlloCiné, the feature shows without restraint the brutality of the confrontation and Moulin's sacrifice, while staying anchored in a precise period of history.
