Bill Nighy joins Alfonso Cuarón's horror series Ascension
Caitríona Balfe leads the cast, while Adam Nevill's novel inspires the project.
Bill Nighy has been confirmed in the cast of Ascension, Alfonso Cuarón's upcoming horror series for Apple TV. The series, which draws from Adam Nevill's novel The Last Days, will see Caitríona Balfe headlining, a role announced in August. Most of the direction will be handled by Natalie Erika James. The project marks the Mexican director's return to the platform after Disclaimer (2024) and his psychological thriller starring Cate Blanchett. According to Écran Large, Bill Nighy thus joins an already strong cast, after his turns in Amazon's Lazarus and Showtime's The Man Who Fell to Earth.
