Hilary Rosen becomes BAFTA president
She succeeds Sara Putt after three years at the helm of the British academy.
Hilary Rosen has been named president of BAFTA, succeeding Sara Putt who is leaving her post after a three-year term. Rosen, a former vice-president of the Academy and a member of BAFTA's television committee since 2021, has overseen the TV and Craft Awards and their juries.
Outside BAFTA, she is director of commissioning at UKTV, where she oversees original programming. She will be supported by Ade Rawcliffe and Andrew Miller, vice-presidents for two years. The board welcomes Charu Desodt and Caroline Levy as new chairs of the Games and Television committees, Nahrein Kemp heading the LIT committee, and Shrina Shah on the governance committee.
"A great privilege," Rosen said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
