Trailer · Forgotten IslandDreamworks returns to theaters with L'Île des Souvenirs, a family comedy that explores friendship and memories. The story follows Jo and Raissa, two young women linked since childhood, who, before one leaves to study abroad, set off for Nakali, an island populated by creatures drawn from Philippine mythological tales. The film premiered with a surprise screening at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where directors Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado answered questions. “Working with your best friend makes directing easier,” says Crawford. Mercado adds that mutual trust allows each idea to be pushed to its limit. The duo, already known for Puss in Boots: The Last Quest, describe themselves as a team where one complements the other. according to AlloCiné
