Ali G: Who Iz I? moves from theaters to Prime Video in a week

Amazon MGM Studios released the new Ali G film on Prime Video on Wednesday, after a two-day theatrical run that began on Friday. Ali G: Who Iz I? marks the feature-film directorial debut of Sacha Baron Cohen. The screenplay follows the character Ali G, who discovers his girlfriend (Morgana Robinson) is expecting a baby and travels to the United States to prepare for the child's arrival. The film adopts the satirical tone used in Borat (2006), Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020) and Brüno (2009), where strangers become the vehicle for social critique. The brief theatrical window was intended to create a special experience and encourage audiences to see the movie before its streaming debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter.
