According to Écran Large, country singer Orville Peck, who plays Vega, told Queerty that the producers had tried to reach Kylie Minogue, close to the star who played Cammy in 1994, without success. The film, directed by Kitao Sakurai and produced by Legendary and Capcom, brings together Andrew Koji (Ryu), Noah Centineo (Ken), Callina Liang (Chun-Li) and Jason Momoa (Blanka). It has already surpassed the domestic box-office of its 1994 predecessor, despite an $82 million budget.
