The Mystery Lucy Lost, new animation gem from Xilam
A poetic adventure where a teen with extraordinary gifts faces the rejection of her island village.
The animated film Le Mystère Lucy Lost will hit theaters on October 28. It follows Lucy, a twelve-year-old with white hair, who lives with her family on the Isles of Scilly, an English archipelago of lush landscapes. Her extraordinary gifts spark mistrust and rejection, until she meets Milly, an invisible little girl to everyone else, and embarks on a quest to understand her powers. The first animated adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's children's novel, the project earned Xilam, the studio behind Les Zinzins de l’espace and Oggy et les Cafards, a spot in competition at the Annecy Festival, according to AlloCiné. The film offers an intimate perspective, immersing the viewer in the hard daily life of a community where reputation carries great weight.
