Amazon MGM unveils a new trailer for I Play Rocky

The biopic I Play Rocky recounts the genesis of the cult 1976 film and Sylvester Stallone's tug of war with the producers. According to Screen Wide, director Peter Farrelly, Oscar winner for the screenplay of Green Book, presented the new trailer via Amazon MGM Studios. Anthony Ippolito, 27, portrays the legendary boxer and turns out to be a striking look-alike of Stallone, a role he already played in The Offer. The teaser shows a few scenes with Stephan James as Carl Weathers, Apollo Creed. The edit emphasizes Stallone's talent as a screenwriter and his tenacity, whereas the first version highlighted his stubbornness with the producers. Early reactions suggest an admiring, even hagiographic, portrait of the actor-screenwriter.
