Le Charles, a series filmed aboard the Charles de Gaulle

Le Charles is finally available on Prime Video, starring Alban Lenoir and Elodie Yng and co-produced with M6. Filming took place aboard the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, a site closed to the public. Producer Henri Debeurme said the team had to "invent something that doesn't exist" to integrate about thirty freelancers among the military personnel without disrupting the ship's operation. No actor was present at the same time, the filming locations changed from day to day, the ship remaining on permanent exercise. Some areas were closed, others inaccessible, but the military were "incredibly welcoming" and provided the technical gestures and codes needed. The result shows a rare immersion into the backstage of an active aircraft carrier.
