Jenna Ortega plans a TV break after Wednesday

Jenna Ortega announced that she intends to take a TV break after season 3 of Wednesday. Currently she is playing an android in Klara and the Sun, a science-fiction film by Taika Waititi, which received a 30/100 average on Metacritic after its premiere in London and was released in France and the United States on October 23 to almost universal indifference. She is coming off a string of setbacks: departure from the Scream franchise, secretive release of Death of a Unicorn, flop of Hurry Up Tomorrow, and negative returns for Miller’s Girl. Her last cinematic success was Beetlejuice. On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, she clarified that she has had no discussions with other franchises and is considering staying away from television, according to Écran Large.
