The video this brief is aboutThe new Street Fighter by Kitao Sakurai opened this Friday in US theaters. Andrew Koji plays Ryu, Noah Centineo plays Ken, Callina Liang is Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian portrays M. Bison, Jason Momoa appears as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Roman Reigns as Akuma and Cody Rhodes as Guile. According to Variety figures, the film is expected to reach nearly $30 M in domestic box office receipts in its opening weekend, across 3 575 screens. This total puts it at the top of the weekly box office, roughly on par with the 1994 Street Fighter over its entire run ($33.4 M). However, with a production budget of $82 M, the film struggles to generate enough margin to be considered a lasting success. The American press, very incisive, does not hint at a quick rebound.
