Sauron dons the One Ring in the new season 3 trailer

The new official trailer of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 shows Sauron, played by Charlie Vickers, placing the One Ring on his finger.

Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and Gandalf (Daniel Weyman) rally the forces of Middle-earth amid battles and romance, while the dark lord unleashes his armies.

The season, which takes place several years after the second, sits at the height of the war of the Elves against Sauron, who wants to forge the Ring to dominate all peoples.

The broadcast begins on Prime Video on Nov 11.

J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, showrunners, said this season introduces a true villain, darker and more dangerous, where "no one is safe".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the executive producers include Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell and Charlotte Brandstrom.
