Clayface finally gets his solo film
A DC horror feature film puts Clayface at the center of cinema.
Clayface finally gets his solo film, a DC horror feature. The story traces the meteoric rise of Matt Hagen, from a Gotham street kid to a Hollywood star, before being brutally disfigured by a crime lord. Abandoned, he accepts an experimental treatment that restores his appearance but warps his reality, driving him into a vengeance spiral. The film follows recent adaptations, after Joker (2019) and The Penguin (2024), and moves the DC Universe toward the horror genre. According to AlloCiné, the character was born in 1940 in issue #40 of Detective Comics. The production brings together James Watkins, Mike Flanagan, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.
