Julia Ducournau prepares an adaptation of ghosts and psychiatry

Julia Ducournau, the director of Titane, returns to cinema with an adaptation that mixes ghosts, psychiatry and doubles. After the very mixed reception of Alpha at Cannes in 2025, she nevertheless continues her work on a series for A24. She has been chosen to bring the French bestseller Mon vrai nom est Elisabeth by Adèle Yon to the screen. According to Écran Large, the author, who is staging a play in an old 19th century asylum, personally selected Ducournau for the project.
