TF1 Séries Films airs this Sunday evening The Student, a romantic comedy by Claude Pinoteau starring Sophie Marceau and Vincent Lindon. The plot follows Valentine, a student preparing for the agrégation in Literature, who meets musician Edouard; their incompatible schedules separate them, but she sends him a love message during a presentation on Molière. The film, released in 1988, blends lightness, sensitivity and a hint of melancholy, driven by the obvious chemistry between the two actors. The original soundtrack, featuring the hit “You Call It Love” by Vladimir Cosma, remains memorable. According to AlloCiné, nearly 1.6 million viewers discovered the film in theaters.
