Swamp Thing progresses: the script is being written

The film Swamp Thing by James Mangold is moving forward, according to the co-president of DC Studios. Announced in 2023, the project was meant to be a gothic and horror tribute to Frankenstein. Since then, silence reigned until the premiere of Clayface, where the outlet Deadline questioned Peter Safran. In a short video, he said: "We are working on it, yes, absolutely. The script is being written as we speak." He reminded that writing a screenplay takes time. Fans can therefore expect the film to eventually happen, even though no release date has been announced yet.
