Netflix launches production of the series Nights and Days
A Polish adaptation of Maria Dąbrowska's novel, slated for 2027, goes into production.
Production is underway for the new Netflix original series Nights and Days, an adaptation of Maria Dąbrowska's literary masterpiece. Tomasz Schuchardt and Jaśmina Polak play the lead roles. The series, directed and co-written by Kamila Tarabura, is written with Marta Bacewicz and Katarzyna Tybinka; production is handled by Justyna Pawlak of Greenlight Films. Scheduled for 2027, it arrives almost fifty years after the film and television adaptations of the 1970s. "Our interpretation... is an honest and emotional reflection on the myth of romantic love...", explains the director. Łukasz Kłuskiewicz, Netflix CEE programming head, adds that the story "still charms us, becoming a timeless reflection on ordinary human dilemmas". (source: Netflix)
