Mahershala Ali stores his Oscars in a cabinet

He says the statues give him a sense of accomplishment, not fulfillment.

In London, Mahershala Ali explained where he keeps his two Oscars, those from Moonlight and Green Book. “They are in a cabinet,” he said, having taken them out of sight to refocus on work. The BAFTA-winning, double-Oscar winner added that he feels a sense of accomplishment distinct from fulfillment, gratitude being another nuance. He now feels closer to a feeling of fulfillment. During a Screen Talk session, as part of the 70th edition of the BFI London Film Festival which closes on Sunday, he also talked about his new existential thriller Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother and themes such as police brutality.
