Paramount Pictures launches Street Fighter in more than 3,500 North American theaters this Friday. The studio projects a result of around thirty-plus million dollars in the United States and a similar figure internationally. The film, directed by Kitao Sakurai, has a budget of 82 million dollars, split evenly between Legendary Pictures and Capcom, and marks the first release of the new distribution partnership between Paramount and Legendary. It notably faces A24's documentary You Can See Everything about Elizabeth Holmes, as well as Whalefall and Sense and Sensibility. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film gathers only 43% approval; Frank Scheck calls it a "jumbled tonal mess" and "only sporadically entertaining". The cast includes Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji and Callina Liang. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)
