The 2024 action-adventure thriller directed by Lee Isaac Chung is set in Oklahoma, where crews often had to pause takes because of real storms and then recreate them. In the story, Edgar-Jones plays Kate Carter, a former tornado hunter who joins a new crew led by content creator Tyler Owens, played by Glen Powell. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the experience was "wild" and left a lasting auditory trace.
