Paul Verhoeven joins the RoboCop series on Amazon Prime Video
The Dutch director collaborates on the new television adaptation of the cult film.
Trailer · RoboCopPaul Verhoeven takes part in the new series RoboCop on Amazon Prime Video, although his exact role remains unclear.
The series, created by Peter Ocko (Pushing Daisies, The Office, The Leftovers), retains the central element of the cult classic film, the half-man half-machine cop.
It is produced by James Wan, known for Saw, The Conjuring, and Insidious, who said he worked with Verhoeven at the New York Comic-Con, according to Screen Large.
No indication suggests Verhoeven will have a behind-the-camera role, and the series does not claim to replicate the original's sarcasm.
