Brian Duffield excludes direction of Alien: Romulus 2

Brian Duffield has confirmed that he will not direct the sequel to Alien: Romulus. The director, known for The Hunt, answered a Hollywood journalist during the promotional tour of Englouti. He said “I’m not going to make an Alien movie. I know…” and noted that he had almost been involved. The rumor that he would take the helm of the project, slated for 2024, was therefore unfounded. The departure of the first director, Fede Álvarez, had already fueled speculation, with other names such as Demián Rugna or Michael Sarnoski mentioned without official confirmation. According to Screen Wide, no definitive decision has yet been made regarding the sequel, which remains on hold.
