Street Fighter returns to the big screen 32 years after the 1993 film
A film rooted in the 90s, faithful to the looks and moves of the games.
Trailer · Street FighterThe new film Street Fighter by Kitao Sakurai returns 32 years after the 1993 feature. The story is set in 1993, the year the second game was released, to pay tribute to the original era, according to AlloCiné. The director wants to translate the characters very literally: Guile's wild hair, the exaggerated moves of the fighters. With stunt coordinator John Valera, the team favored practical effects; most sequences are done with cables and real stunts, without digital tricks. This approach aims to bring out the 90s aesthetic while preserving the brutality of the World Warrior Tournament.
