Ryan Coogler at the helm of the X-Files reboot

Ryan Coogler is directing the reboot of the cult series X-Files for Hulu. After years of rumors, the platform confirmed that the director of Black Panther and Sinners will be at the helm as showrunner. The project, announced in 2023 by creator Chris Carter as being in development, is now moving into production. This will be Coogler's first foray into television, a choice seen as fitting given his genre-film background alongside Jordan Peele and Ari Aster. The already announced cast includes Himesh Patel. No broadcast schedule has been released yet. Source: AlloCiné.
