Miami Vice ’85 reveals its new cop duo
Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan take on the roles of Crockett and Tubbs in the first teaser.
The remake Miami Vice ’85, directed by Joseph Kosinski, has released its first official visuals. Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan portray respectively Crockett and Tubbs, showing a look resolutely 80s. According to Screen Daily, the project, backed by Dan Gilroy on the script, arrives forty years after the cult series and twenty years after Michael Mann's film. The cast expands with Walton Goggins, John Leguizamo, Alden Ehrenreich, Edi Gathegi, Camila Morrone, Whitney Peak, Danny Ramirez and Andrew Schulz. The images, first published in Ashot Magazine, quickly spread on social media, dispelling fears of a contemporary smoothing.
