Paramount launches a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film

Paramount Pictures has officially announced the development of a live-action film based on the video game Cyberpunk 2077. The title, which rebounded after a criticized launch, now boasts 40 million copies sold and 15 million for its expansion Phantom Liberty. The universe had already been brought to the screen with the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. According to Deadline, the studio handed production to Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the man behind the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises. CD Projekt Red thus confirms its ambition to expand the franchise beyond the game.
