Disney+ revives Artemis Fowl as an animated series
After the 2020 film disaster, the franchise finds new life on the streaming platform.
Disney+ is preparing an animated series Artemis Fowl to give a second chance to the young genius, following the failure of the 2020 live-action film. According to Écran Large, author Eoin Colfer confirmed the project during the 25 Years of Artemis Fowl panel at New York Comic Con, partnering directly with Disney to oversee the adaptation. The literary saga comprises eight books and a spin-off trilogy The Fowl Twins, more than 25 million copies sold and translations into about forty languages, a potential the studios do not want to let slip.
