Josh Hartnett plays Calvin in Netflix's maritime thriller Below

Josh Hartnett leads the new limited series from Netflix Below. The saga begins in 1986 in Snook’s Arm, where young Calvin Penney watches his father drown after the towing of their house fails. Forty years later, adult Calvin, still haunted, makes a living collecting ice for a vodka distillery and rents out his home on Airbnb. The visit of his children Mary and Jay coincides with the distillery rejecting his latest batch of ice, prompting him to consult the local scientist, Dr Fonda Howander. Amid family tensions, underwater mysteries and allusions to the climate crisis, the series blends thriller with a reflection on human nature. (Variety)
