Warner releases the first teaser of The Exorcist: Martyrs
The short film opens on stairs recalling the scene from the 1973 movie.
The teaser for The Exorcist: Martyrs is now online, announcing a theatrical release on March 12. The full trailer arrives this Friday. After the critical failure of The Exorcist: Believer, David Gordon Green left the sequel, handing the direction to Mike Flanagan. Blumhouse, which acquired the saga rights for $400 million, hopes to revive the franchise. The edit opens with threatening stairs, a nod to the scene where Father Karras dies in the 1973 film. According to Warner Bros., the teaser targets connoisseurs while reigniting public interest.
