Netflix unveils the trailer for the final season 3 of The Empress

Netflix has released the official trailer, the first visuals and the key poster for season 3, the ultimate installment of the German historical series The Empress. The worldwide release is scheduled for November 12, less than a month before the conclusion of Elisabeth and Franz's story. The teaser shows the doors of Schönbrunn Palace opening one last time, then follows Emperor Franz, traumatized by the Sardinian War, returning to Vienna. Elisabeth struggles to support her husband, but his infidelity and the court's resistance accelerate his physical and mental decline. Forced to leave Vienna, he heads to a distant island where he meets the leader of the Hungarian revolution, Count Andrássy. Since its debut in 2022, the series has spent 13 weeks in the global top 10 and accumulated 462.1 million hours of viewing, according to Netflix's press release.
