John Leguizamo has denounced his removal from the role of the Vulture in Spider-Man Homecoming after negotiations were already advanced. The 66-year-old actor has appeared in more than 160 films and series, including Luigi in Super Mario Bros. (1993) and the dangerous Benny Blanco in L’Impasse by Brian De Palma. He later shared the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet, faced New York's fear in Summer of Sam, and voiced Sid in the Ice Age saga. Recently, he plays Eumaeus, the loyal servant of Odysseus, in The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan, a performance that fuels rumors of an Oscar nomination for supporting actor. According to AlloCiné, he had been approached by Sony/Marvel for the Vulture, with the terms already set before the studio head pulled the project.
