Filming of The Batman Part II Suspended
Warner Bros. and DC Studios announce a pause for personal family reasons of the director.
Filming of The Batman Part II has been suspended. Warner Bros. and DC Studios announced last night that director Matt Reeves needed to step away from the project for personal reasons, to focus on a family matter, while receiving the studios' full support. The film, starring Robert Pattinson, began shooting last June in London. Initially slated for October 2025, the release has been postponed several times and is currently set for February 18 2028. The cast again includes Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis, as well as Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry and Sebastian Koch. The length of the pause and a possible replacement for Matt Reeves remain unknown.
