The Lanterns finale reveals Hal Jordan's killer
The episode “Dirt and Stars” solves the murder and sets up John Stewart for the future Superman.
The finale of Lanterns reveals Hal Jordan's killer and the second Manhunter. The episode, titled “Dirt and Stars”, jumps back to 2016 in Rushville, where Sheriff Kerry (Kelly Macdonald) finds Hal among the wreckage. She gets him out of prison in 2026, welcomes him with beer and flowers, and the two start dating, even attending his son Noah's football match. Hal's house is set on fire, and he wakes up in a strange laboratory where Noah confronts him. The season closes the murder mystery and sets up John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) to become Earth's sole Green Lantern in the upcoming Superman film “Man of Tomorrow”. (Variety)
