Florence Pugh reinvents Yelena with a Russian accent

Florence Pugh found Yelena's character too "annoying" in Black Widow and created a Russian accent to make her funnier. Before filming she thought she was flat and, during rehearsals, read her lines with an English accent before adopting the one that became her signature. She told Vanity Fair that nobody really knew who Yelena was and that the character needed colour. According to Écran Large, Marvel is multiplying projects before Avengers Doomsday in December, notably with Avengers Endgame Encore, a new edit that changes several scenes, including Steve Rogers' role, and an exclusive post-credit scene showing Hulk after the events of Spider-Man Brand New Day.
